Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahbaz Manj is working as Professor and Chairperson Department of Islamic Studies, Division of Islamic and Oriental Learning University of Education, Lahore. He has 30 years of teaching/research/administrative experience at Universities and Higher Education department, Govt of Punjab, Pakistan. He has published fifteen books and more than hundred research papers in different HEC recognized National and International research journals. He has been supervising M Phil & PhD Scholars since last sixteen years. More than hundred M Phils and PhDs have done their research work under his supervision. He has organized, participated and presented papers in hundreds of national and international Conferences and Seminars. He is a founding Editor of Number of HEC recognized Research Journals. He is reviewer of number of research theses and HEC recognized national and international research journals. His research interests involve Quranic Sciences, Orientalism, Islamic Modernism in the Arab Word and Indo-Pak Subcontinent, Western approach towards Islam and Muslims, Muslim approach towards Islam and modern Western civilization, jihad and extremism, Inter and Intra-faith harmony, mysticism, roots of religious fanaticism, Blasphemy issues in Pakistan etc. He is continuously addressing international scholars and audience on different topics related to inter-faith harmony and Global peace. His scholarly works has inspired thousands of people and saved them from the path of religious extremism. He has visited number of counties and addressed the international audience having different faith traditions and Ideologies. His inclusive and wide-ranging approach towards religion and its role in the modern globalized world has been widely recognized and appreciated by leading and distinguished scholars across the globe.
